hi Jim
i have 2 places in my van if anyone is looking for a lift.
our plan is to leave friday early (about 6ish) so we can get a paddle or two in (possibly the ogwyn and glaslin gorge).we are now coming home sunday .
Do you know if anyone else is planning to go up friday as we could meet up and paddle together if that suited.

Hope you guys are doing a seriously good rain dance.....
Otherwise -- the Dee should still be pretty good. It was a laugh at about 10 on the gauge on Friday and as an on-the-way-home-blast on Sunday.

How did the trip go? Any exciting tales of daring-do to report?

I will also add my thanks to Jim and Cec for all the organisation, a great find for a bunkhouse , shame there was no water in the Ogwen , or the Llugwy , or the Conway , or the Galslyn , ............ or anywhere else for that matter!
Never mind , we had an enjoyable walk up Snowdon on the Saturday, with the summit attmepted by 3 Meridian parties by 3 different routes. In my case it was after a gap of 41 years, but I still felt pretty good.
On Sunday , as you predicted Giles, it was a run down the Dee , which was showing 8 on the gauge. Seperpents Tail was very tricky (3 out 6 took the early bath!) and only 3 attempted Town Falls (2 successfully) , so an eventful run down. The other club members forming a Greek chorus on the banks chanting oaths as we came through.
Shame we had to do almost 600 miles for 1 river , but it was great company, nice (if dramatic) weather, and a good bunkhouse , just a pity about the river levels.
