hi
i have sent off the deposit for the 2 bedroom chalet for those flying up. ( £140 for the two nights )
small problem is that this chalet has 2 single and 1 double bed,i am sure you can sort out sleeping arrangements between you.
so far as food goes for this trip i was going to do a chilli for the thursday evening spag bog for the friday ( assuming those flying up will feed themselves en-route) and thought we could all eat out together on the saturday night to exchange tales of woe.
for the breakfasts i was intending to supply food for a cooked breakfast each day inc tea coffee etc
then i was going to buy some bread cheese ham and tomatoes for lunch time snacks.
if anyone has any dietary needs give me a call please
PLEASE NOTE
if i do not hear from you i will assume this plan works for you and are happy to pay your share.
lastly if anyone else wishes to join us they will have to make their own travel arrangements for themselves their boat and all their kit.i can help with accommodation.
thanks all
brian
ps what time flights have you booked.

That all sounds good Brian -- I'm more than happy to fall in with whatever you've planned.
Now the important stuff......
What rivers are we planning to paddle??
Is there anyone apart from Tom and Mark that has no Scotland ww experience?
Were you planning for sort of Spean Gorge/ Etive action or more sort of Nevis/ Coe sort of stuff, or a nice mixture of the two, levels dependent?
Do you guys Meridifaff about in the morning or get up and go paddling?
Oh yes -- is it sorted for our kit to get a lift up or do we need to book any gear onto our flights?

Good morning All,
All sounds pretty good to me so far, catering wise I won't eat grapefruit but anything else is fair game.
Rivers, I would like another chance to get the letter box right but you guys know my limitations so nothing too huge please.
Travel arrangements, I am travelling up on Thursday afternoon with Paul in his car and I'm sure he will be happy to bring extra boats and kit but best you check with him first. If boats are at my house by Thursday morning we can load them on and get on the road quickly but it's a bit early for final arrangements yet.
Faff........... What's that?
Jim

Rule number 1: no faffing saturday or sunday, breakfast by 8.30 on the road for 9 (at the latest).i have no intention of repeating my experience of a couple of years ago when we were still sitting in a cafe drinking tea at fort william at midday.
may take it a bit easier on the other days.
so far as the rivers go i think it would be good if we could have a beer one night (in a pub or my house) and get a rough plan together.
the etive will be on the list for the saturday or sunday or maybe both.( jim bring your elbow pads i will bring the camera )
should the morriston be on the list ????. is there an opening for the old river gary gag here, lets hope not.
i believe its only mark and tom that have not paddled in scotland.
