June Canche trip

Hi all,
Been mulling this over for a while and Tony's finally nailed me down to putting it together. A river Canche trip on the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of June.
This is a loverly little river trip, spread over two days with a campsite on the river bank, very much a FUN trip rather than a river running trip, no rush, no stress affair.
If it works well then maybe we can use this as our summer gathering like the usk+wye trip is in the winter, but we'll see.
The river is a short drive from Calais, via the hyper mache for provisions. Its about a 50 min drive down the A16 to Montreuil.
Having just looked its about £45 return on the ferry for a car and passengers, 2.5euros in tolls each way, so it could possibly be the cheapest trip away paddling white water you can do from the south east? Obviously we'll try to fill cars to the max to make the trip as cheap as possible.
The campsite has all mod cons http://campinglafontainedesclercs.fr/ and some reviews here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/revie ... revid=7234 , I'm told its very nice and means on day 1 we get out at the campsite.
I think following the kent canoes plan makes sense, its here http://www.kentcanoes.co.uk/pages/trips ... canche.htm .
This is an easy WW trip, grade 1 with a couple of easily portaged weirs, plus a small slalom site to play about on if the pointy boated prima donnas are not playing at pole dodging when we get there (strange, the smilies arnt working and the URL button don't work). It is suitable for both kayaks and canoes, it'd be good to get a good mix, remember there's no camping kit to be carried in the boats, just your lunch and normal paddling kit.
If your not sure, have a search through the web, Song of the paddle has a few very good blogs on people doing weekends and day trips, just use the search bar on the site.
If you have any questions feel free to pm me or speak to myself or Tony, The weekend should not change but the timings will be added later, plus you have the option of heading down friday night.
Post up here so we can gauge interest and start hard planning
Tim
