Dear All
If you are interested there is a trip along the Military Canal near Hythe on Sunday 11th July. This a flatwater paddle of approximately 6 - 8 km (about 5 miles in old speak). Ideal for open boats and those wishing to have a gentle paddle in nice surroundings.

Meet at the car park on the northern (inland) side of the canal at West Hythe @ 10:00am. Getting off at Seabrook near the Seapoint Canoe Centre - and much more importantly a cafe and ice cream stall. The get off point is close to the beach so there is even the (faint) possibility of surfing.

Directions
Come off M20 at Junction 11
Follow signs to Lympne
At the T-junction with the B2067 turn left
Turn right at the memorial cross towards West Hythe
The carpark is on the right before you cross the canal.

Drop me a line PFJFRF@AOL.COM for further information or to let me know you're coming.

Yours

Paul

Paul,
I can't make this day.
We have a Scout Water Activities Weekend at Leybourne Lake.
Also it is the World Cup Final!
The following weekend I'm booked but have an empty calendar for the 24th/25th and onwards.

I do not have a car but would like to go on this trip if I can borrow a club boat.

If you are taking part in this paddle and could give me and a club boat a lift please contact me. I will gladly contribute towards the cost of petrol.

Dear All
I'm afraid I can't make this trip. I have to go to France this weekend to retrieve my car, caravan , boat, boating kit....etc. A long and sad story involving a slightly ruined oil sump.....

There is no reason why the trip can't go ahead. I think Tony is going , plus Fizz, Timmy possibly others I fail to remember. Best post on the website to let everyone know,

Be aware that the car parks at Seabrook are now all pay and display, if however you talk very nicely to the cafe owner he may let you stay there if you eat or drink their but talk to him first.

If you do go enjoy.
Paul

Hi All,

Sorry to hear Paul & Jeanette won’t be able to make this trip on Sunday.

Teresa and I are going on this trip in an open canoe, with Lewis and Nathan in kayaks.

If you are definitely coming (or know someone who is) please post on this forum so that we know who to expect. Also, please say if you have spare seats in your car, spare roof rack space, or if you need to arrange access to the boat house to pick up (booked out!) club boats etc.

This is a relaxing and fun trip finishing next to a seaside café. Weather permitting we can finish the day chilling out on the beach or going for swim etc etc. So far, we appear to be quite a small group. Please try to encourage others to join us if you can.

The more the merrier!!
