Folks
I am proposing to organise a local river trip on Sunday March 18th.
The default option will be a Medway paddle from Yalding to Sluice Gate weir and back, but I am working on something a bit different like the River Mole in Surrey, or perhaps something in the medway estuary.
I am also happy to use this trip as an assessment for anybody wishing to complete 1 and 2 Star on this trip.

I'm up for the Mole, although depending on what happens in court on the 12th, I may FINALLY get to be a daddy again that weekend.
Re: River Trip March 18th Provisional
When I posted this trip I was unaware that March 18th was Mothers Day. That may be holding some folk back , so would this be better if we went for the Saturday?
Please let me know.

I think so, sort of rules out anyone with a mother whos not local, or indeed anybody with kids. You can count my dad in for the saturday on the mole, he'll be demoing a new boat that weekend, be nice to do it somewhere new

OK Folks
Let's go with Saturday 17th rather than Sunday 18th to help everyone preserve domestic peace.
We will run it on the River Mole from the Stepping Stones car park on the A24 , this is only accessible from the southbound carriageway , just about 500 m south of the Burford Bridge Hotel (Postcode RH5 6BX) . We will plan to run the river as far as Leatherhead, but we are going to have to find some parking , as parking restrictions are going to make the usual get off a bit a lottery with only a small 3 hour car park .
How about an early start from the boathouse at 09.30 to assemble gear etc, with a view to being on the road for 10.00 and at the get on by 11.00. Run shuttles and on the river by 11.45.
This trip will be suitable for all paddlers.
Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,
The Mole is looking a little low at the moment: -

I'm not sure what level is needed for a good run of water from Stepping Stones, but is it worth having a Plan B? The forecasts (5 days only) don't seem to predict much rain...

It was runnable on Wednesday when I went to have a look. It was about 8cm below the top of the stepping stones , and I was surprised at the flow. It could be quite a quick run.
