We saw you driving back Tim, but I guess you had already had enough by then.
For the rest of you, it was a great day out with almost 200 paddlers on the river in craft from Bell Boats , to opens to kayaks , all cleaning the banks and the river of rubbish.
Tim H and I paddled down to Teston Lock , and then worked on the pound down towards East Farleigh. We both managed a large sack of rubbish which was gladly handed over to the EA launch, before starting again in the afternoon.
You would not believe the items of rubbish we removed, everything from a Transit front seat , to enough shoes to start a shop , to bottles of everything. Tim's prize find was a tube of a very risque lubricant, which he entered into the competition for the most unusual item!
Next time it would be nice to have some more Meridian members!

Medway Clean Up Day: April 14th & 15th
Re: Medway Clean Up Day: April 14th & 15th
Not only did I find a tube of 'very risque lubricant', I also found a bottle of two stroke oil.....
....WWAM's idea of 'white water action' is not mine!
I shall hang on to the 'very risque lubricant' until it is claimed by its owner.
If not, I'll put it in the Meridian Christmas Raffle.
Was hoping to find money, jewelry, a wooden peg leg, a glass eye and a set of false teeth.
Alas I didn't so I'll have to stick with what I've got.
